Concept to creation

Services

The first phase of every Fira programme

Decoration decisions are easier, cheaper and more effective when they are made early. That is why every Fira programme begins with a concept-to-creation phase, where the creative idea for a pack is translated into something that can actually be manufactured to a premium standard. Five capabilities sit at the heart of this phase.

Conceptual sketching

We start on paper. Hand sketches, quick iterations, no software overhead. Sketching lets a brand team and our designers explore more ideas in less time, and it keeps the conversation about the idea rather than the software tool. Many of our best decoration decisions are visible in a concept sketch weeks before anyone opens a CAD file.

Digital prototyping

Once a direction is chosen we move to digital prototyping, developing bottle geometry, decoration footprint and on-pack artwork in a form that can be tested and iterated against the real production envelope. Digital prototyping means fewer surprises at tooling, tighter colour work, and far less rework downstream.

3D modelling

Our 3D modelling takes a digital prototype into photoreal form. Brands use these models for internal sign-off, retailer presentation and early marketing work, months before first-off samples exist. Because the models are built on the actual production geometry, what approval teams see is what production will deliver.

Product visualisation

Product visualisation turns 3D models into the assets brand teams need to get a launch moving: shelf renders, campaign-ready stills, lighting studies, colour treatments and format variants. We do this in-house so visualisation decisions and decoration decisions stay connected. If a finish does not render well, we know, and we adjust the decoration specification before it becomes a production problem.

Design consultation

Every programme has a senior design consultant attached to it. Their job is to challenge the brief, advise on decoration feasibility and make sure the creative intent survives contact with production reality. This is the difference between a packaging agency that hands work over the fence and a decoration partner that stays involved from idea to line.

Why it matters

Concept to creation is not a design service. It is a production service that begins at the idea stage. Done well, it means faster approvals, fewer reworks, tighter alignment between marketing assets and real packs, and a cleaner handover to sourcing and decoration. Done badly, it shows up later as compromises on shelf.

Talk to us early

If you are briefing a new launch, a repositioning or a range extension, bring us in at the sketch stage. The decisions we make together in the first two weeks of a programme tend to be the ones that define how good the pack looks twelve months in.
